OUR PHILOSOPHY

We believe consuming fewer resources and creating less toxic waste is key to reducing the environmental burden on our planet.

That's why we carry minimal inventory each season to avoid overproduction.

All the garments sold in our store are made from 100% certified organic cotton, recycled organic cotton, or a blend of the two. Every piece of our packaging is plastic-free and biodegradable too.

We work with environmentally responsible manufacturers and suppliers.

Organic cotton is produced without any use of synthetic pesticides, artificial fertilizers, or other toxic chemicals, and recycled cotton uses less water than virgin cotton.

Clothes made from up-cycled plastic or synthetic fabrics such as polyester and acrylic do help remove harmful waste from landfills, however textiles containing synthetic fibers are not fully biodegradable and not easy to recycle. They also release microplastics into the water every time they're washed, and those microplastics can end up in the ocean. Synthetic textiles are in fact the largest known source of marine microplastic pollution.

For these reasons, we’ve decided not to carry any clothing items made from synthetic fabrics in our store.

Our Ambition

We understand that there’s no silver bullet solution to reversing the damage we’ve done to our planet, but we as a business will try our best to keep our net environmental footprint as close to zero as possible.

As we become more capable, we plan to actively engage in campaigns focused on environmental cleanup, waste reduction, building a circular economy, and more.
